The slim female picked her way up the high mountain path slowly, each pawstep careful and precise. She had no room for mistakes, on such a high and sheer slope. She cast a quick and fearful glance over the ledge. One small misstep, as she would find herself dead at the bottom. She took a deep breath, before looking away and shaking her head. She kept on. What pack in their right mind, she thought to herself, would live on top of a basin hundreds of feet above the ground? This pack, apparently. She growled. Well, she had chosen to join this pack out of all others, and she sure as hell didn't want to be a loner. Heading back now would be cowardly. Not to mention, possibly deadly. She didn't think she had enough room to turn around. This was a one way trip. And she would have deal with what she got. Even if this place was surrounded by a horrid swamp. She shuddered. She probably wouldn't ever get the feeling of swamp water out of her fur anytime soon.
Well, this better be worth it. She lifted her head, taking in scents in the air. Yes, she was close. She thought to herself. should she howl? Announce her arrival? Well, maybe not. She quickened her pace.

A large figure sat over the mountain ledge. He could see most of all the other lands from here except for Rugged Boulder Territory and half of Golden Sunlight which was on the other side of the mountain. He snorted. He did not need to see them to know what they where doing. At times he would look into a pool or close his eyes and catch glimpses of the world, of what other wolves where doing. It was facinating and empowering the powers Fenrir had bestowed upon him, though he was still harnessing them. And the he heard it. The faintest of pebbles dropping down the cliff face, and a low growl. He peered straight down to the narrow path that brought his pack to and from their lands.
He lept straight down, at least twenty feet, though he took no pain from the landing, his paw steps precise as he hit the ground, looking straight into the strangers eyes. He flashed his teeth in a warning, ready to back this trespassing female off the cliff and to her death. His voice a low snarl, red eyes looking at her, intimidating. "What makes you think a loner like yourself has any right to trespass on my land?" His fur bristled, his already large stature looking increasingly bigger. He never took kindly to strangers.
OOC: I have to go for a couple hours, sorry my post is short, I'm short on time lol. I'll be back on later. Sorry if there are any typos, I didn't have time to proofread.

OOC: It's fine!
Angrboda jumped a bit. She looked up at the male who had leaped down in front of her, as her tail and ears lowered slightly. She did her best to retain a calm and level voice.
"I only meant to request to join your pack, sire." She replied. "The others...seemed far too, well, pure and wholesome and oh-so-good for my tastes."
She didn't make eye contact, as she knew such a thing would be disrespectful.

The large ebon wolf towered over her. Truthfully he towered over every wolf. His visit from Fenrir only a month ago had granted him not only with his power and blood lust, but his looks as well. His fur was black, course and matted, eyes bright red. Even his teeth and claws were longer, sharper, and more efficient. He has never met a wolf since this divine meeting that has even looked at him as a challenge. Still anyone asking to join his pack was welcome. Though he wasn't going to let this ethiopian she-wolf in without a test.
A sinister smile spread across his maw as he looked to the wolf. She was pretty, maybe his test would just be verbal for her. Normally he submitted new, and even current, pack members to grueling physical challenges. But something about this wolf made him give her the exception. "You really think you are strong enough to be in this pack?" His question was rhitorical. "Well I'll give you a week to prove yourself among the pack. If you ca hold your own, you can stay."
He turned, leading her up the path as it slowly got broader the closer they got to the dens and meeting area.

She observed the male wolf, taking in a few of his details. His fur must not have been groomed in days. She resisted the urge to shudder, before returning her attention to him. She had no hopes of ever taking him in a fight, she knew. And his eyes...she repressed another shudder.
After hearing his approval, she nodded. "Thank you." She replied, before following him. The path, thankful, slowly got wider, and she began to feel slightly more relaxed.

Wolves emerged from their dens at the sight of a new wolf. Surtr waved his tail and they backed off a bit, though curious eyes can never be stopped. He glanced back at the pretty little female. "My name is Surtr, I am Fenrir's vessel," he announced to her. His voice seemed to boom with power at the mention of the god of the underworld. "As you know we are dedicated to our dark lord, so much so that he as blessed me." He made it a point to flex his muscles, some of the pack members snarling and barking at the mention of Fenrir, though more so in a celebratory fashion. "I am alpha of this pack, I have been for a while, and I will be till I die. Until that day I get nothing but your respect, your cooperation, and your willingness to fight for Fenrir."
He stopped and turned, looking directly into her amber eyes, noticing the little flicks of black and grey. "Now pretty little vixen," his maw was close to hers, his breath seemed to wreak of blood, but for some reason, looking at this wolf, he could not hold rage. "Tell me, what is your name." His voice was now sickly sweet. He sounded genuinely curious, maybe infatuated, but there was also motive behind why he suddenly started feeling like he cared for this wolf.

Angrboda cast a few quick, dark glances at the wolves watching her, before looking away from them. The air was heavy with their scent, dark and musky like the swamp, but tinted with a familiar coppery scent. Blood. Then again, as these wolves did worship Fenrir, that should come as no surprise. But the alpha being his very vessel... That was somewhat surprising.
She did not back away as his maw came close to hers, death's heavy scent clinging to his breath. She had smelled blood many times before, and smelling it on another wolf wasn't anything new. Granted, it hadn't been this heavy, but still. "My name, Alpha Surtr, is Angrboda." She replied, doing her best to keep her voice level and calm.

Angrboda? I lovely name. He smiled, or as close as he could get to a smile. "Please, my lovely, you can call me Surtr. Anything else is distasteful." He turned, his tail brushing against her maw. He didn't say anything but the way we walked and twitched his tail practically invited Angrboda to follow. Though he didn't look to check. He was vain, he knew she would come to him. Maybe not now, but eventually.
He maid his way to the crest of the basin. A tall boulder sat, pointing up into the sky, and under it a dark den. He kept it cool and dry in there, wolves changing out his bedding as often as he desired. And in his cool, dark den he sat to wait for his new pack mate. He might not be showing it, but Surtr was determined to make her his, and with that thought he let out a low, smooth, alluring howl just for her to come visit him.

She could tell this wolf was interested. Then again, that wouldn't take a genius to see that. She observed his advances with a seemingly disinterested look. Though, she knew she would have to eventually come to him. He was the alpha, after all.
She lingered outside a bit longer, before sighing and deciding to follow Surtr. It was cold outside anyways, and she could smell the rain coming soon. And she hated the rain. She walked just inside the dark and cool den, before awkwardly sitting down at the edge of the opening.

The scent of rain was always welcome to Surtr. Once in his lifetime, maybe a year ago, lightning had set a tree on fire not far from the central den area of his pack. But his day was lucky, as the clouds that brought the powerful bolts of energy also brought a down pour. And so he was saved the trouble of lost pack members and having to re-mark his territory, for even though the rain washed some of it away, the smell of burnt flora would never be masked by border marks.
As the storm grew closer so did the presence of Angrboda. He waved his tail, inviting her in. "So Angrboda, what is your real reason for coming to my pack? A dark motive? Seeking revenge? No wolf ever just joins to carry out Fenrir's bidding. And I know it can't possibly be because the other packs are just too sweet. As far as I'm concerned there are some pretty shady characters in the Misty Valley and Rugged Boulder packs. So please, indulge me." He laid down, shoulder broad and straight as his malicious red eyes peered into hers.
